History:

Under the leadership of the Presentation Sisters, the College opened in 1957, originally as a Primary School, extending to High School level in 1960. The Kindergarten was established in 1999, making Star of the Sea Catholic College a Kindergarten - Grade 10 College.

Location:

George Town is a mixed coastal, rural and industrial community located in northern Tasmania near the mouth of the Tamar River. The school population is drawn from within the George Town community and a range of smaller country settlements.

Transport:

School buses operate for students from the Low Head, Lefroy, Beechford,Bell Buoy Beach, Pipers River, Mount Direction and Hillwood areas.
