History:
Founded in 1868 by the Presentation Sisters on its present site. Boys also attended the College until St Virgil's College opened in 1911. St Mary's then became a girls' school operative from Prep to Grade 12 with boys in Prep - 2. In 1996, the College expanded to include a Kindergarten for boys and girls. The College Mission is to provide a sound Catholic education for the young women in our care, so that they can take their place in society, and to promote and develop the full potential and integrity of each individual in our community respecting and celebrating individual differences. St Mary's College stands for the Gospel values of truth, justice, love, hope, compassion, tolerance, faithfulness and integrity, in the tradition of Nano Nagle, the foundress of the Presentation Sisters.
