This section is led by the Head of Service - Deputy Director - and incorporates Administrative Officer, Administrative Assistant, Education Officer: Information and Communication Technologies, Education Officer: Special Learning Needs South, Manager: Special Learning Needs & Early Childhood, Education Officer: Special Learning Needs North, Education Officer: Positive Behaviour Support South, Education Officer: Special Learning Needs/Positive Behaviour Support North, Education Officer: Literacy and Education Officer: Numeracy.
The Learning and Teaching Service:
embrace the Catholic Education Learning and Teaching document (CELT), the Essential Learnings Framework and respond, as required, to the documents mandated by the Australian Government- support the National Testing agenda and use of the data and reports generated for planning
- support the administration and reporting of programs targeted to meet the needs of specific groups targetted of students
- liaise with other educational agencies, Government departments, universities, professional agencies and schools to inform future directions in pedagogy and curriculum
- build the capacity of teachers and staff
- provide site specific, tailored, coordinated professional learning opportunities for whole school staff, small groups and individuals as determined by need
- value and responds to data when planning and making educational decisions.
